Sleazy Remix 2.0: Get Sleazier ft. Wiz Khalifa, Andre 3000, T.I. & Lil Wayne
In which three more rappers come on and do things to varying degrees. Ke$ha is entirely downgraded to a hook singer, so I’m not gonna spend time on it, but you can read a bunch of opinions here if you have the need.
I really just wanted to post this for the video. How giddy do you think they were after “royal penis cleaner” at 2:48? I don’t think she had any involvement with the video but it might be the epitome of her essence?
Tiago Iorc – “Story of a Man”
Tiago Iorc is a Brazilian artist who covers the gamut of pop-rock throughout his album Umbilical. From the Travis-like title track to the psych rock twist of “Ducks in a Pond”, it is great to see a young artist branch out so much with only two albums under his belt. Iorc’s voice reminds me of Keane’s vocalist, create depth with dramatic builds and focused flourishes. My favorite material is when Iorc slows it down to a crawl, like on the lead single “Story of a Man”. The tender ballad has as much emotional traction of anything I’ve heard through this project, starting off the eclectic album in an unexpected way. There are some misses, but overall I’m glad to have been introduced to this Brazilian singer-songwriter.
